Project description
Global and national malaria risk modelling are informed by separately modeled estimates of malaria control intervention coverage through MAP. Specifically, Insecticide Treated Bednets (ITNs), Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) and Effective treatment with Artemisinin based Combination Therapy (ACT) antimalarials.
These modelled estimates improve the precision and interpretation of transmission intensity and support tracking of the global malaria response and evaluation of progress towards policy and operational targets. Our ITN estimates currently serve as the formal coverage estimates adopted by WHO/GFATM and presented in the annual World Malaria Report.
