The interplay between sarcoma and surgery-induced wound healing

Investigators: Breana Weston, Francois Rwandamuriye, Melvin Chin, Timo Lassmann, Rachael Zemek, Joost Lesterhuis

Project description

The primary treatment for sarcoma often includes surgery. However, it is not well known how the wound healing following surgery influences the biology and behaviour of sarcoma. In this project, we are using systems biology approaches to map the wound healing response in sarcoma following surgery to identify new treatments that can prevent sarcoma relapse.
