The Pacific RHD Program
The goal of the program is to establish the foundations of an effective, sustainable and equitable response to RHD in the Pacific. The program is focused on improving the capacity of partner countries (Vanuatu, Solomon Islands) to control RHD through supporting local technical working groups, meaningful engagement with people living with RHD and development of clinical guidelines informed by local knowledge. The Pacific will also have a recognised locally led Knowledge Hub for RHD control based in Fiji, with modular capacity to support additional countries as future investment is secured in partnership with country priorities.
