Project description

This project investigates the prevalence, risk factors, and causal impact of COVID-19 lockdowns on mental health disorders, self-harm, and suicide among Australian children. Using innovative statistical methods applied to high quality longitudinal data for causal inference and disease inequity analysis, we will advance the field, providing rigorous new evidence to inform effective strategy and policy to protect children's mental health during future pandemics and public lockdown scenarios.
