Abstract:
Efforts to eliminate ARF and RHD in Australia over the past decade have so far been unsuccessful, but this can change. Change requires departing from “business as usual” to invest in upstream prevention strategies that include a two‐way learning and exchange approach between health providers and community members, taking into account Indigenous worldviews, which differ from non‐Indigenous understandings, and addressing the social and environmental determinants of health.
