Abstract
Nanoparticle research is currently an area of considerable interest due to the potential applications both in industry and medicine. In addition, there is increasing recognition of the potential health dangers of enviornmental exposure  to nanoparticles. We muat not fall for the trap of assuming that technologies developed for and assessed in adults can be applied to children wihtout addressing the peculiarities of this age group.
