Maggie Dent visits The Kids Research Institute Australia as part of research for new book

We were delighted to have Australia’s best-known parenting author, Maggie Dent, back at ‌The Kids Research Institute Australia this week, to talk about the mental health of our teenagers.

Maggie is a huge supporter of the work we do here and wanted to meet our Head of Youth Mental Health, Dr Yael Perry, to learn more about how parents can support their teens.

It’s all part of the research Maggie is doing for her next book.

A proud Ambassador of Embrace at The Kids, our infant, child and youth mental health research collaboration, Maggie’s affiliation with The Kids Research Institute Australia goes back to the very start of her career as an author, when she generously donated some of the profits of her first book.

That support has continued and will do so well into the future as Maggie has decided to leave a gift to The Kids Research Institute Australia in her Will.

We asked her all about it in this video.

If you’d like to find out more about creating a lasting impact by also leaving a gift to The Kids Research Institute Australia in your Will, click here to find out how.

Or if you would like to learn more about our mental health research collaboration, check out Embrace @ The Kids. You’ll also find details about a free event next week, where you can hear from one of our leading researchers about adolescent mental health.
