Eugene is an applied mathematician with a background in agent-based models, time series analysis and embedding theory. He has an MPE in mechanical engineering from the University of Western Australia and is currently completing a PhD in applied mathematics with the UWA Complex Systems Group under the supervision of Prof. Michael Small. His current research focuses on the use of network theory to develop new analysis methods for improved forecasting of time series. Eugene is interested the study of emergent dynamics in complex systems, with a particular focus on disease spread on social networks
