Bronwyn Milkins

Dr Bronwyn Milkins is an Honorary Team Member in the Healing Kids, Healing Families team and is working on the Dissociation Project. Bronwyn’s current research aims to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people who experience trauma-related dissociation.

Bronwyn completed her Bachelor’s degree and PhD in Psychology at the University of Western Australia, her Masters in Psychology at Curtin University, and her Postgraduate Certificate in Sexology at Curtin University. Bronwyn is a registered psychologist who is passionate about providing psychological care to young people who have experienced trauma, in particular young people who are neurodivergent and/or part of the LGBTIQA+ community. Bronwyn’s research background is in worry-related insomnia, intimate partner violence in LGBTIQA+ relationships and, most recently, childhood trauma. Bronwyn is passionate about supporting early-career mental health clinicians through her podcast, “Mental Work”, which has had 130,000+ downloads to date.
