The Autism Research Team at The Kids Research Institute Australia is seeking applications from enthusiastic and ambitious early-career researchers for the position of postdoctoral research fellow.
The successful applicant will be directly mentored by Professor Andrew Whitehouse and contribute to the autism research program conducted at The Kids Research Institute Australia (Perth, Australia).
In collaboration with research groups around Australia and internationally, the research group uses a range of techniques (e.g., EEG, eye-tracking, biological investigations) to develop new methods for identifying and diagnosing children with autism in early life, and trial early intervention techniques.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to engage with, and build on, the existing research program and datasets, as well as develop their own research interests related to autism.

Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated knowledge of ASD research and related methodologies
- Ability to administer psychometric assessments relevant to ASD
- High-level written and oral communication skills, including a track record in scientific publications and presentations
- Experience in the submission of grants and ethics applications
- Demonstrated ability to manage research projects and meet deadlines
- Capacity to supervise higher research degree students
- Ability to work effectively as part of a broad, multidisciplinary team that spans several sites
Essential Criteria:
- PhD or equivalent in area relevant to ASD
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current Working with Children Check
There is a fixed term role for 3 years, with the possibility of extension. Suitable applicants will be added to a recruitment pool for future Postdoctoral Research Fellow vacancies. Applicants seeking employment on a part-time or full-time basis will be considered. Remuneration package includes access to generous salary packaging.
