Involvement opportunities

Discover the latest community involvement opportunities from across the Institute.

Telethon Kids Institute is committed to providing opportunities for health consumers and community members to be partners in our research.

We partnered with The University of Western Australia’s School of Population and Global Health in 2004 to establish the first consumer and community involvement program in Australia.

Currently we have hundreds of people partnering with a range of researchers and research programs to develop and deliver worldclass research. The range of activities is broad and includes providing advice on planning for involvement activities in grant applications; helping to write plain language summaries; serving on committees and advisory groups; attending forums and workshops; developing strategies to disseminate research results and advocating for the translation of research into policy and practice.

Support for these activities is provided by the Consumer Involvement Coordinator. To find out how you can play a part, email involvement@telethonkids.org.au.
